International Mobile Station Equipment Identity
Reference: 3GPP TS 23.003
IMEI is a 14-digit identifier composed of an 8-digit Type Allocation Code (TAC) and a 6-digit Serial Number (SNR). The SNR must be unique within the TAC. If 15 digits are provided (with most significant being non-zero), then when the check digit it so be transmitted, the LSD is used, otherwise the check digit is sent as 0 if required.
